Dana,

I highly recommend Educational Perspectives from Chicago. They are certified
and do a thorough job. Here is a link to their website:

Subject: [ECOLOG-L] Evlauation of foreign educational credentials

Ecologers: a student I know is eager to have her foreign educational
credentials (PhD in Geochemistry) evaluated so that she can apply for jobs in
the United States. Can anyone recommend an ethical agency (or agencies) that
does this kind of work in the sciences?

Dana,

She could try World Education Services. They did a competent evaluation of
my transcripts (Canada).

There is also the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services
(http://www.naces.org/members.htm). You need to check out each member carefully
- there is a *wide* range of services (degree validation to course by course
evaluations and translations), prices ($80-$200+) and time scales (2 days- 2
weeks). I used Education International, which was the cheapest and the fastest,
but he has a restricted list of services and countries he works with.
