Tiller Ranger District is located in the Umpqua National Forest in southwest 
Oregon. We have a very beautiful and diverse forest with meadows and oak 
savannahs scattered throughout, with many streams and the South Umpqua River as 
our playground.  Tiller  is a rural community 23 miles from the closest full 
amenities at Canyonville, and 50 miles from Roseburg or Medford, Oregon. 
Housing may be available at  dry (no alcohol) FS apartments or rental house on 
the compound (if available). We are looking for a quality pool of candidates 
from diverse backgrounds to fill this position. If you have further questions
