*Lab-school - nanoSIMS in biogeochemistry from soils to sediments, from
geology to microbiology***
Lab course on nanoSIMS applications from 24^th to 28^th of November in
Freising, Germany.
This course aims to provide young scientists (PhD students and PostDocs)
with hands on laboratory experience on nanoSIMS sample preparation,
sample pre-characterisation and measurements of environmental samples.
The focal areas will reach from soils to sediments to foster process
understanding in a variety of disciplines, such as soil science,
geo-science and biology.
The program will comprise both lectures by leading scientists and
laboratory work on own "real" samples in small groups. So far confirmed
lecturers are:
.Prof. Matt Kilburn (University of Western Australia, Australia)
.Prof. Markus Kleber (Oregon State University, USA)
.Dr. Dagmar Woebken (University Vienna, Austria)
.Dr. Niculina Musat (UFZ Leipzig, Germany)
*Venue:*
The course will take place at the nanoSIMS facility of the Chair of Soil
Science of the TU München in Freising-Weihenstephan, Germany.
*Application:*
In order to express your interest for participating in the course,
please send the completed application form until the 15^th of August
