I am putting together a presentation for a symposium on preparing for careers
in the sciences. Specifically, I'll be discussing guidelines for writing
effective teaching and research statements. If you have any do's and don'ts
you'd like to share, I'd appreciate it. A variety of perspectives
I have received a number of requests to share the information about writing
