We are excited to announce that the upcoming 2018 Society for Ecological Restoration's Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter Meeting in Stevens Point, Wisconsin from April 20 to April 22, 2018 has been pre-approved for Continuing Education Credits (CECs) from the following organizations:

- Society for Ecological Restoration (SER): 6 CECs

- International Society of Arboriculture (ISA): 6 CEUs

- Society of American Foresters (SAF): 22.5 CFEs

We have an exciting three days planned that includes a keynote presentation by Stephen Carpenter; a plenary presentation by Tracy Hames, a special Plenary Session on “Applied Learning Through Practice, Research and Reflection: Engaging University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources Students in Meaningful Ecological Restoration in Central Wisconsin”; two symposia; four Workshops; three field trips; two volunteer work day opportunities; and 59 contributed oral and poster presentations with presenters from the midwestern United States and adjacent states.  Additionally, because this year's meeting is being held in conjunction with the 40th Annual Wisconsin Lakes Partnership Convention and Water Action Volunteer Symposium (https://bit.ly/2GZOL8m) then Friday attendees also have the option to attend 25 Wisconsin Lakes Partnership contributed oral presentations covering topics such as aquatic invasive species; ecology; people, policy, & politics; volunteer monitoring; restoration; and watershed connections/water quality.  More details about our annual meeting can be found on our annual meeting webpage listed below:

We are two weeks away from the Annual Meeting and there is still plenty of time to register online and obtain discounted registration rates.  If you have not yet registered, then we encourage you do so *before April 15, 2018 *to get the discounted registration rates.  Additionally, Chapter members receive discounted meeting registration prices as well as the benefits of a member of the SER MWGL Chapter and its international parent society SER.  Interested attendees may register online for the meeting using the webpage listed below:
