Closing date: 4 November 2018 The Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies (CURDS) is seeking to appoint a Professor of Economic Geography to advance and lead its research on urban and regional development. Based in CURDS within Geography, the Professor will be expected to provide academic and research leadership, build upon and extend existing expertise within the centre and enhance our standing in the run up to REF 2021. The contribution of CURDS to Geography's outstanding 2014 REF result demonstrates the quality of our research, engagement and impact and is the foundation from which we seek to develop and grow. It is expected that the Professor will demonstrate research leadership through the prosecution of their research agenda, building and managing research teams in CURDS. The School of Geography, Politics & Sociology is an Athena SWAN Bronze award holder, and the University is a Silver award holder. The post is available from August 1st 2019.
