Here, Here!!

I have found the statistical discussions (particularly regarding sampling
design and the proper analytical technique) to be interesting and practical.

The discussion of the relative merits of the candidates is extraneous - we
hear this enough on CNN, CBS and our coffee break rooms. But while we're on
that topic, I have heard that Buchanan polled ~ 6000 votes in the 1992
Republican primary in Palm Beach County. Some Bayesian Analysis perhaps?

Cheers,

Keith

Subject: Stats on Palm Beach votes

A valid discussion on the appropriate use of statistics seems
appropriate for this list forum and I rather enjoy learning about the
application of statistics to this complex problem. However.....Can we
please get rid of the political opinions and partisian politics.....It
has no bearing on how statistics may be appropriately used to help solve
this problem.

Thank you.....Jim
