I have added the PSC datasets for Siegel and Morgan to my website in
Statland. These are not the files that come on the disk from the
publisher but rather the data for nearly every example, problem or
exercise in the book -- about 375 files. My favorites are the raw
data files for the categorical data in Chapter 14 which, as in most
textbooks, appears only as summary tables in the text. They are in
the form of a 491k ZIP file created on a PC, but I think there are Mac
programs that can decipher these. The main directories contain
Minitab binary files for PCs. Most directories have a PORT
subdirectory containing portable files that should work for Macs,
Unix, etc. (These are currently PC text files so you may need to
convert them or use Merge to open them.) The systematic file naming
convention is explained in the Minitab Guide available on the same
page. You would also need the Siegel and Morgan text to decode this,
but I assume you have it or would not have read this far!-)
