I'm changing pace slightly, after making 2 points:
(1) Dot notation *does* exist in Maths. Its just called "subscript" notation
instead. But its the same thing. I try to make a habit of using subscripts
(and sub-subscripts) as much as possible because it shows the same logical
relationship.

*Thanks so much for all your help - further comments are still welcome =)

Hi all,
I'm looking at using a GUI IDE for helping my high school students to learn
GUI programming. The kind of interface which Visual Basic offers... but in
Python.
I've found Blackadder so far, but its not free (or finished!) Do any of you
have any (ideally free) suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
My students have loved drawing pics in turtle. What they'd love more (as
would the wall of my classroom) would be if they could print their pictures
to a printer.
Does anybody know of how to do this?

My preliminary assessment is that its good. I'm going to try using it for
one of my Year 9 classes now (they've just started programming Python) and
I'm skipping straight to the chapter on turtle.
My initial comment is that turtle needs to come *even* earlier than you've
edited it to be. My sugges

Hi,
I'm new to this list and have poked around on the net and such for a way to
program robotics using Python, but have only found "annoying" ways which
would involve more effort on students' behalf than I'm hoping for.
