[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1210349] Re: Bundled buzz.wav file in tuxtype package has (potentially) malicious embedded executable content

2013-11-25 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Thanks for reporting this issue. I have taken a look at the buzz.wav file. It does appear to contain extra data at the end, including an elf header. Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be enough of it to pose any sort of threat. It is likely the extra part was, as you described, filesystem

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1254832] [NEW] Missing options for ltsp-update-image

2013-11-25 Thread Roland Giesler
Public bug reported: The source for this script shows the following options are recognised, yet they are not all documented in the man page.   -a, --arch Architecture of this image. Default is arch of the host.   -b, --base Base of ltsp chroot. Default is /opt/ltsp if

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1254832] Re: Missing options for ltsp-update-image

2013-11-25 Thread Alkis Georgopoulos
The help output and the man page you're talking about refer to a very old LTSP version. Both of them have been rewritten last year, so they're already fixed. Many of those options are not supported anymore, though, because other ways to do things were implemented. ** Changed in: ltsp (Ubuntu)

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1254832] Re: Missing options for ltsp-update-image

2013-11-25 Thread Roland Giesler
It may be old, but the manpage has version for each release. On 12.04 (which is the latest LTS version), the options exist in the source but not in the manpage. Adding this in will save people losts of time at least. Therefor I don't think this should be invalid, at least not for the 12.04

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1244792] Re: Marble-qt does not create menu entry

2013-11-25 Thread Evan Derickson
Harald, I do believe that this issue is with the packaging and *not* with the upstream program. The marble-qt package, which is a variant of the marble package built without KDE dependencies, does not create a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications. As the marble package does not share this

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1244792] Re: Marble-qt does not create menu entry

2013-11-25 Thread Harald Sitter
The qtonly binary has a different name so one desktop file would not work for both binaries, which makes it an upstream issue as they simply have no desktop file that would work with the qtonly marble build. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Edubuntu Bugsquad,
