Occasionally when I create a new style I can't edit it right away. This
usually is resolved by clicking on another style and then clicking back
on the new style.
This time however, clicking on another style caused scribus to freeze.

Just out of curiosity, what GPU are you using? I'm on Intel integrated
HD 3000 with the default open source drivers, fresh installation of
Ubuntu 16.10.

Config directory ~/.gimp-2.8 should be ~/.config/gimp-2.8
The location has been changed in the current development branch (2.9)
and this change will be in the 2.10 stable release.
If Ubuntu doesn't want to be inconsistent with every single piece of
GIMP docs, tutorial, hint, message, post, ... concerning the location of
the profile directory for 2.8,

On fully up to date 16.10 installs, gimp no longer starts.
1. Run 'gimp' from console.
2. Console returns: "gimp: symbol lookup error: gimp: undefined symbol:
gegl_param_multiline_get_type" and exits, instead of starting the app.

Personal config directory ~/.gimp-2.8 should be ~/.config/gimp-2.8
Please implement this change in such way that for the next x versions of
this package any old ~/.gimp-2.8 directories are moved or merged or a
notification is made to the end-user when there is a conflict.
