black.
Same problem on Ubuntu
On Ubuntu 22.04 gimp 2.10.30 after installing xdg-desktop-portal-gnome

Just installed Ubuntu 20.04 from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Alpha amd64

on my desktop. Gimp crashed. restarted from terminal - received the message:
corrado@corrado-x4-ff-1222:~$ gimp
Gtk-Message: 14:42:48.938: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Sorry, the problem comes from BIOS settings on my HP 250, the bios was set to
capture function keys and not pass them to the application. Changed BIOS
settings solved the problem.
Please close my stupid bug

I have done other tests, the problem seems gimp does not capture
function keys, also with f1 I have the Ubuntu desktop guide while if
from menu I select Help -> Help I have the GIMP user manual.
