I have an endian 2.3 installed.
- 400 users (web, ftp, outlook, messenger)
- transparent proxy
- 512Mb RAM, Pentium 4
Can you share a comment on this?
- For this number of users do I need to have an special configuration?
- more RAM?
- how can I need to have a better performance

I can't speak to version 2.3 because I still use 2.2, but I
have to disable many of the scanners to get it to run in
that much ram without a lot of disk swap use. Disabling
things like the content filter (which never seems to work
well for me or my customers anyway), and intrusion

For a 100 users I am running a Endian 2.3 on a Core2Duo 2.4Ghz
with 4Gb Ram (3.3Gb left over)
Performance is good, memory use is about 2Gb we using the http/ftp proxy
in and outgoing mail is scan for virus/spam
Also wifi and dmz area is actief.
