I agree, Ekiga having 'jack-ability' would be great and as jack is able
to turn off the newer versions of pulse-audio it would solve that
problem as well.
There was someone a while back who was trying to sort out the ekiga/alsa
issue - I wonder if anything came of it?

I tried to teset my Logitech QuickCam pro 9000 with Ekiga but sound
won't work with Ekiga. I don't have microphone with myself only
