Thanks to Don W3FPR's help I found the problem. I removed the SSB mod and the basic K2 worked, I didn't see any obvious problem after checking it under a mag light a few times , so I put the ssb board back in and started to poke around an found that RFC1 was caused the problem. Just a sligh

I have my KX1 sidetone set at 600 Hz, then use the "StP" menu selection as my SPOT switch. Holding the menu button turns it on; holding it turns it off. Of course I can't hear or adjust the rig when it's on, but going back & forth a couple times if necessary is no bother. I do wish "StP" was the
