Thanks to Don W3FPR's help I found the problem. I removed the SSB mod and the
basic K2 worked, I didn't see any obvious problem after checking it under a
mag light a few times , so I put the ssb board back in and started to poke
around an found that RFC1 was caused the problem. Just a sligh

Got ready for the Spartan Sprint last Mon night, and made a couple of
Q's around 1600 PST. Turned KX1 off, had dinner, and at 1800, came back
in, turned it on ... to silence. Finally figured out the RX was dead,
TX still OK. Tried to finish Sprint with K2,
I hate to admit that I can't figure something this simple out, but
can someone tell me if the MD2 on the CB-1 base is supposed to move around
after it is all mounted together? I can't seem to get things tight enough
with just my hands to keep the mic and holder from twisting around everytim

I have my KX1 sidetone set at 600 Hz, then use the "StP" menu selection as
my SPOT switch. Holding the menu button turns it on; holding it turns it
off. Of course I can't hear or adjust the rig when it's on, but going back &
forth a couple times if necessary is no bother. I do wish "StP" was the
