[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report for October 8th & 9th, 2006

2006-10-08 Thread Kevin Rock
Good Evening, We had fun this evening. A few week signals strained my hearing but I think I finally got them all. Ray, K2HYD, had to be the weakest station but I finally got him when the QSB came up. Ric got his K1 back on the air so he may be sleepy at work tomorrow. I appreciate you

Dave, did you use an antenna analyzer? I've tried it using two ATU's to evaluate the losses through the tuners, figuring that if the total loss through both of them was acceptable feeding the impedance presented by the feedline, I'd be happy with the loss through one. I first set up the ATU to

Ron, I had one and it was too noisy for me. Perhaps it was because it was older ser # of the same model. I am using a Samlex and an Astron SS-30M. Both show no noise. Bill K9YEQ K2-35 & 5279; KX1-35/3080 ___ Small, lightweight and NO rf hash - the Alinco D

Hi Guys, if there are several who want to measure the two MFJ balum tuners loss on several bands, I can do it and will be glad to do it and report back. I will do it just like I did it when I measured MFJ tuner loss. You can see what I do by clicking on MFJ on my web page at: http:/

Great Idea - thanks for pointing me to the obvious . Just as I was contriving a highly complex solution to a non existent problem!! Besides, one could always use another balun. 73s Pete > > From: Karl Larsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 2006/10/07 Sat AM 07:07:13 CDT > To: Dave G4AON <[EMAIL PROTE

Fellow K2'ers, After exchanging a few emails with Don, I did a close inspection of the components related to the 40m low pass filter. L25 and L26 have continuity and the correct # of turns. Capacitors C225-C229 have continuity and are the correct values. VFO at 7000 kHz shows 11914.29, so

Elecraft already has their signature case style with the six face panels and the three-hole bar brackets for vertices. Maybe they can make them in 2-56 size for the minimodules. The end pieces could be varied to accomodate the mini-modules. They might even simplify their end by just selling

I've been thinking about the CircuitShell idea after running across it. You could do something similar with a standard Hammond die cast box -- discard the lid and invert the case and attach to the PCB. Use two of them at right angles on the top and bottom as in the CircuitShell if necessary.

I think there are two sizes, but I hear you. Larry N8LP Dan KB6NU wrote: This is interesting, but it appears that they only make the one size CircuitShell. You have to make your PCB design fit their shell, not vice versa. Maybe Elecraft could get them to produce a mini-module version, though

Hi, I recently bought K24U. I have the following problems: -the VFO adjustment doesn’t work not by pushing the buttons or by using the scroll bar. -I think the the RIT>VFO button doesn’t work. -The band selection does strange things. -The Amp selection prefers to be in the ‘off” position. I r
