Hello everyone. I don't know if anyone keeps track of this
information, but my K2 SN #6799 is now assembled and on the air. I'll
probably begin installing the 100 watt amp later this week. As you
might expect, it works perfectly and went together without any major
issues.

I have a heil mh-1 but am misunderstanding mic wiring a little here, wanting to

Suggest that you download the KSB2 manual from the Elecraft web site.

VFO OFS got changed to ON from OFF. Everything is normal for me now after
changing it back to OFF. Lots of features and I'm still learning!

You will enjoy Your new rig a lot. I am using K2 quite often and still
it can't be beat by most of other rice boxes on the market. If You do
not have it yet then look for KAF2 and 160m modules as they are very
useful.
This reflector is probably good place to watch. Occasionally someone
offers up a K3 for sale.
An alternative is to call Elecraft. They have K3s -- maybe not

The pinout and the microphone configuration header information is in the

for pins 5 and 6 which are interchanged between the two. A

I agree that most of the time the ARRL radio product reviews are performed

one notable exception. Have a look at the March 1991 ARRL review of the now
