I bought and built two of Don's solar charge controllers (among other handy things he kitted up) before he went SK. For some reason, and this is most unlike me, I cannot find the schematic ... or indeed any documentation. It's not in my workshop file cabinet, nor can I find it from web searches.

I'd take the K3/100, Lou -- assuming you have no plans to operate QRP portable away from AC power. The K3's receiver is more robust and there should be no thermal issues if you decide to use any 100% duty cycle modes. Plus one box is easier to deal with, in terms of cables and such. 73, Phil

I already own both Don. My question was more theoretical in nature. There is a practical side to my question as well, as I am deciding whether to take my K3/100 or my KX3/KXPA100 combo on a vacation trip. Size and weight is roughly comparable, and I have no intention to operate without AC power. O
