I would first reduce the TX power control
for a setting less than 10 watts. That will
bypass the KPA3 100 watt PA module via
the relay K1 on the KPAIO3 board.
If that restores your RX background signal
level to be comparable to that observed
when you put the same antenna on the
RX Anten
Using a K3 I have run into a situation that would appear to be a problem
in the receiver that maybe someone can give me a clue. For example, I
have a 160 M transmit antenna, SWR 1:1, I am receiving signals but they
are way down in strength compared to my RX antenna port. Background
noise is 0
