[Elecraft] RemoteRig value?

2023-10-20 Thread Josh Fiden
I have a RemoteRig RRC-1258 with the K3 cable sets for each end. These are new, never opened box. Any idea fair value for them? I can’t find any comparable for sale listings and it’s not clear if they’re still offered for sale. Please reply direct to me. Thanks & 73! Josh W6XU ___

Wayne, I have to agree with you on that, I am amazed at the K4Ds performance... I have several local hams, all within a half mile of me, and they never really bother me... All but one has a K line of some sort, so they are all clean signals... The only one that tears things up is running a

Hi Dave, The HDR module will provide higher blocking dynamic range, though in practice this extra headroom would rarely be needed (typically in "my neighbor's beam is aimed right at me" situations). The K4D's ADCs are state-of-the-art 16 bit units with dither. We carefully manage front-end ga

Hello, A big congratulation to Wayne (N6KR), who, contrary to all economic expectations, defines the future of Hamradio from the past: Give power to CW even if the rest of the community is looking for happiness in the low-threshold offer of ready-made pizzas and thinks that they can conquer th

[Elecraft] Question about K4HD module

2023-10-20 Thread Dave (NK7Z)
Wayne, A question for you on the HD module... What will that bring to the party, the K4D does not support now? I have been amazed at how well the K4D does with strong signals, and I can't really see how you could make it a lot better... Is there more I am missing? 73, and thanks, Dave (NK

Understood, Pete, and thanks for your patiece. Our goal is to provide transceivers at both ends of the size/weight/features/price spectrum -- not always a seamless endeavor, and resources are not unlimited. 73, Wayne N6KR > On Oct 20, 2023, at 1:44 PM, Pete Smith N4ZR wrote: > > Of course,

Of course, but my question had more to do with management priorities.  I appreciate the supply chain problems, and hope you resolve them (at least enough to begin production) soon. 73, Pete N4ZR On 10/20/2023 4:29 PM, Wayne Burdick wrote: Hi Pete, The K4/0 team is independent of the KH1 team

Hi Pete, The K4/0 team is independent of the KH1 team. Both are happening in parallel. We still have supply chain issues with parts for the K4 HDR module, though progress is still being made on that front. 73, Wayne N6KR > On Oct 20, 2023, at 1:21 PM, Pete Smith N4ZR wrote: > > But when wi

Hey Dave! Thanks for checking in. This is the radio I wanted even when I was 15. Finally got it done, with a combination of microelectronics, 3D printing, and a take-no-prisoners attempt to drastically reduce parts count. Hope you survived the Pandemic OK Wayne > On Oct 20, 2023, at 1:0
