Good morning folks ! I am looking for a signal generator that outputs
signals across the frequencies of the 15-40 band, and does not cost an
arm and a leg. Need your advice, does such a creature exist?
I am preparing to start alignment on my new K1. The text suggests that I
use a signal generator, Ham receiver, or antenna. In your experience is
the antenna option viable? In my case it will be a simple long wire fm
the K1 to the trees since that is all I have. Thanks for your comments.
I am curious abt a power supply for the K1. The instruction book calls for a
12-14V unit. How careful do I need to be abt the amperage?

I have just finished building the 4 band filter board ( KFL1-4) for the K1. I
have 3 incorrect resistance checks that I cannot resolve. I'll do these one at
a time for clarity's sake.
The first is P1, pin 3 to pin 4. Desired reading is greater than 100k. I'm
getting zero. Any suggestions ?
I'm having trouble tinning my toroid leads. In spite
of rigorous cleaning they just don't want to accept
solder ( Kester 44 ). Will adding some paste flux
interfere with electrical qualities of the leads ?
