Folks,

KX1 sn 01054 needs a new home with someone who will make use of it. It was
bought and built as a 20/30/40, has the ATU and the KXPD1. At that time I
was the Service Manager for Intermountain Communications in Prescott,
Arizona so the kit was aligned on a calibrated service monitor.

When the 30/80 board became available that was purchased as well, but was
never assembled and will be included along with the manuals and all the
extra bits for the radio. The updated firmware chip has been installed on
the motherboard, and the resistor change for the output power mod has been
incorporated. Also included is an Elecraft BL1 4:1 balun with BNC-MM, and
the BNC-BP binding post adapter.

The unit exhibits an issue where tapping on the optical encoder can cause
audio to go in and out. I suspect this is a matter of replacing the
encoder, but it has not been enough of an annoyance for me to warrant
tearing the rig down.

I acquired it as an incentive to practice Morse code as well as take
backpacking. As it turns out a lot of the second happens, but none of the
first. With the recent demise of my desktop rig, it seems past time to
start saving for a K2 or KX3 for the portable SSB capability :)

New the whole thing would be around $630. I am very open to negotiation,
and willing to consider trading for a small HF rig with SSB, especially
something like an FT-817.
