[Elecraft] Vibroplex Bug

2009-08-23 Thread DeniseWerner
Hello group Was wondering if anyone had the same experience as I have. Got a Vibroplex Classic a few months ago and took quite awhile to get the adjustments right and it is sounding very decent on the K3. No secondary dit chirp, contacts clean and all is good. I then put it on the K2 and all

[Elecraft] FW: Vibroplex Bug

2009-08-23 Thread DeniseWerner
Thanks for the input Sam. I have tried a few of the tricks like the dental floss damper stopper and it has helped but was curious if I was looking at problem with the bug or a characteristic of the Elecraft where it was more/less sensitive to the key input. Maybe a happy medium where the

Ok I have scratched my head enough. I have been busy with my new K3 #1339 and all is going great till I try the Zero-Beat. I am using the XG-2 and it gives a nice signal at 7.040 + - . I am having trouble finding the REF Cal in the config menu. I have scrolled these over and over and can't seem

[Elecraft] K2 Field day

2008-06-29 Thread DeniseWerner
Just want to say thanks to all you folks that played in Field Day. My K2 worked great and worked almost anybody I could hear with my 5 watts and G5RV. That 5 watts sure did great but cq'ing was a bit slow for sure. I had a tent in the woods and the rain made it a little `yucky but after 5 a.m. I

Hi Frank I agree with John, there is no bigger mistake than shying away because of fear or worries. I think there is a cycle to this as in life, you start out a bit rough, get refined then senility hits and then who cares! Really, there are more great operators that will be more than willing to
