[Elecraft] K3 on 10M CW bad

During the California QSO Party this past weekend as W6COW, I was using my K3 as part of a multi-multi. 10 meters was open both days and on Sunday I received a complaint about my CW tone.  I just now verified a problem only on 10M.  It sounds like two signals (two tones) and creates a buzzing

[Elecraft] problem with k3 in data mode

the mode to LSB and the software to AFSK the power stays steady and doesn't drop.  The only change to my station is a new PC from last Oct. I use a SignaLink to my K3. Anyone have a clue where I should look or change. Thanks, Don -- Don Minkoff NK6A

[Elecraft] KPA1500 new software 1.87

I just went from my 1.62 rev to 1.87 and something changed.  My fan use to come on at 60 deg and now comes on at 50 and off at 40. I need to go back and try and reload the older version.  I don't think this is correct. Anyone else run across this? -- Don Minkoff NK6A

[Elecraft] Err message with K POD and KPA500

I am also seeing an error message when transmitting. Everything is working OK but I get a flash of ERR K1. Didn't notice that a few weeks ago in the CQP but it is there now in the CQWWSSB. Using a K3 to a KPA500 and KAT500. I will disconnect the K-Pod and try again. Running N1MM. -- Don

[Elecraft] hum in K3 when above 30W

The K2PAKIT comes complete with additional replacement bias transistors, Q11 and Q13. Although the K2 does operate up to 7W out (while showing 15W) , there is no adjustment in a linear fashion with the power knob. 2W out when showing 5W on the display. Should I replace automatically the bias

[Elecraft] Help with K1

, put back in the 2 band module I still have ( I jumpered j2) and still plenty of audio but no receive or transmit. I am thinking that the MCU might be bad. I have ver 1.09E. I can hear the relays working as I turn it on. What would effect transmit and receive? Don Minkoff NK6A Mar Vista
