I have used the RemoteRig with a K3/0 (not the mini) to a K3/KPA500 combination
and a SteppIR vertical. It works fine, but the RX audio is certainly not a
strong as directly through the RemoteRig.
As others have noted this not quite plug and play and some tweaking of the

I have an issue with my K3. I keep the antennas physically disconnected here
and the radio had not been turned on for a week or so. Turned it on last night
and it initially worked fine. Made a few Qs on 6m.
I then noticed that I could not switch the VFOs back and forth using the A/B
I operated from Jumby Bay, Antigua for much of last week.
I used my KX3, Precision End fed 10/20/40 and Buddipole in a vertical
configuration (no coil, longer whip and standoff arms and 4 sloping elevated
radials-feedpoint at about 8’). Antenna was about 20m from the water. I also
used a
Canada Post delivered K3 s/n 299 today (in a brown box). Ordered at Dayton May
18 with a deposit (balance paid in September to take advantage of our then .10
premium on the $US), shipped January 24 arrived February 2. Paid the GST and it
is now sitting in the shack.

Silly question, but I cannot tell from the manual (no K3 yet) and am wiring the
transverter cables. I take it the ACC jack on the rear of the K3 is a female
jack?
