When I open N1MM when it opens it is in the S mode and when I switch to RUN
mode the Dual RX propagates its self to all the bands. This is Annoying.
The ATU settings on all bands are completely changed when N1MM was opened. So
this junk was also generated by N1MM.

Thanks for all the help. The Repeat delay is now fixed.
Part of the problem was the timing and not enough space.
The majority of the problem was with what as typed in for the the different F
keys. Very touchy on how or what was typed. Once all the errors and bugs were
fixed the Repeat delay
Here is a correction from last post
Erase the <04> in the F# lines that has it. This controls the CW speed which
does not work on the KX2 or KX3.

I finally got the functions to work mostly. On my KX2 and KX3
Here is what I did. It seams I got rid of most of the funkiness due to spaces
in the wrong place and so on.
Pay attention to S F1 with out the {S} when hitting the F1 key it would
send properly then switch back to Run so it was
Here are the other issues. The CQ Repeat function has no Pause like 5 seconds
then starts. The Repeat Time setting Does not do any thing that I have
noticed.
Also CW speed control does not work. I works manually when I turn the knob on
the KX2 and 3.

I am running KX3 and KX2 with Windows 10 on a Surface 3 is what I am running.
Also running the same 2 radios on RumLog on my Apple computer. ZNo problems
with the Apple.

It is not the radio but the N1MM program. Not only does my KX2 react that way
so does my KX3.
Baud rate does not matter. I think N1MM is a bit unstable on my Microsoft
Surface 3. I run RumLog on my Apple computer and both radios work just fine.

I have a confession, I have been Running RumLog with my KX3 for several years
with my Mac Mini Apple computer and love it. I just got a Microsoft Surface 3.
I want to run a logging program that interfaces with the KX2 and KX3 using one
USB com port.
N1MM is a nice program but
Just had to recharge battery for the first time.
I used just about 2.1 hours of battery time. Real time I had the radio on for
just over 7 hours calling CQ and just in the receive mode. Output of my KX2
was 5 watts and the Battery Min was set for 9.0 V.
My question what is a better setting
So with the new card installed it would take over 83000 hours to drain the
battery. WOW that’s 3458 days almost 9 years.

Durring the last month of the ARRL Centennial QSO Party I was behind on
points to get into the top tire. So I finally turned on the amp and started
calling CQ on 20 -10 Meters. I noticed the the amp was getting hot and
finally tripped out on high heat. cooling fan helped but not as well as I
I have a blind friend who has a KX3. He called me last night. between my
questions and his I keep looking into the manual.
His question last night was, the function, CW Announcement , that tells you
in CW the frequency, or SWR or what button you had pushed, the CW speed is

Maybe I can help.
Go into Menu and check to see if PA MODE is OFF.
Also so checkVOX setting by using the DLY button next to the main tuning
knob and put in in PTT mode.
Let us know what happens. I had the same thing happen when I remove the
KXPA 100 from the KX3.

I have a KX3 and KXPA100. I want to put up a receiving loop antenna for
160M and transmit with my short marconi 160M antenna. What do I need to do
to accomplish this?
Switching things the way they are now takes too long and too many
operations so I pretty much gave up on the project.

My main concern is I can not see a signal on it that I am listening to on
the KX3. I see spikes and noise floor but no signals. I can adjust DISP,

TNX FOR ALL YOUR INPUT ON THIS.
I found that by running the radio until the 8.5V limit is hit on the KX3
and it shuts down I took out the batteries and tested them on a Radio shack
battery tester that I had, I let the thing load the battery and watch for
the reading drop. All cells held their
by about
50% or so. If you know that, you would just charge for 8 hours or 12
hours.. whatever fits your schedule.

minutes before KX3 goes dead. Minimum voltage is set for 8.4V. with a 13.6
volts 50 amp DX Astron supply max charge voltage get up to 10.6 VDC says my
KX3. When checking the voltage independantly on each cell they all give me

internal tuner? What is best for 160-6 meters? I like making my own
antennas with wire.
I usually have to give up one band or another cause it just would not tune
up on a certain band.

I have tried a 6:1 balun at the feed point of the inverted L. How ever it
presents a significant loss while QRP with 5 W. Just does not have enough
isolation from ground. yet it presents a good match. Go figure.

will figure it out later. I did see that and had set Baud to 4800 on
RumLog. usbserial-A703095C was selected for the port. I had also turned off
the KX3 Utility and RumLog is not working.

I am having issues in getting RumLog Version 5.3.7 logging program working
with my KX3. How do I set up RumLog to work? What do I need to set in
preferences?
I am able to get KX3 Utility to work fine so there is no issue there I do
not think.

KX3 OSX Utility will not work or see ports. Looks like I need a Mac OSX
drive for it. What drive do I need to down load so it will work with
RumLog, RumPed and KX3 and KX3 Utility? x86, x64 or PPC?
