Hi all.
I have a XV-144 here which was not built by me. But all parts seem to be in
order.
DIP switches are OK. No issue on power up. LO voltage level seems OK.
Problem is adjusting R13, even at full CCW rotation I cannot get the voltage
below 284mV. I had a look around and it seems the parts are

Hi
Can someone clarify a point for me?
In the XV144 manual Initial setup Part 1 Stage 2 it states removal of L17
for all except XV432.
Stage 3 has L17 preset to 2 turns down from the top of the inductor can for
a XV144
Should it be left as per stage 2 or fitted as per stage 3?

Hi all
I think the RoHS issue has been flogged as much as it can be.
I also think Elecrafts position is being confused a bit (as I understand it
anyway).
As far as I can see there is no claim that the kits are RoHS compliant.
This blossomed from the price increase thread where I believe Elecra

So are you saying that all Kx kits are now RoHS compliant?
Except the solder preference of the builder?
As soon as Lead based solder is used on the Kx kit it will automatically
loose its compliant status. Should probably ass that to the manual ;-)
Sorry I cut out all the other post you m

Hi all
I have been having great fun with the K2 but I am wondering what the output
should be?
10W or 15W?
The Po control seems to indicate 15W should be possible.
The PA alignment seems OK, or at least as per the manual, Po/current seems
to match at the levels stated.
But occasionally the bui

Hi All
Ser Nr 5544 is now alive and kicking.
When doing the Align/Test P III with the referenced power level setting of
10.0W I find the current level hovering around the upper limit of the
recommended range at 2.0 amps although I did not see any Hi Current
warnings.
All the RX/TX alignment also
