After a day of worries I finally decided to install the Battery charger/Real
Time Clock Mod that had arrived the day before,
Into my KX3 #820.
Other then 73 year old Eyes and Hands,after a bit I was able to get the parts
installed and ended up with the “builders rush”
of getting to see all of

After adjusting volume control on a signal, after a certain amount of time, the
volume drops a significant amount.
Is this a built in feature of the KX3?? and if so,can it be changed,and if it
can,why should I NOT change it???
As an after thought, I did look in the Operating Manual and could not
I have new KX3, applied power, no apparent readings on S Meter. hissing noise
heard but no signals.

can’t figure out how to get T-1 to tune the radio.

For those who might be interested. I found a small little project to build in
Instructables.com called a Fume Extractor which fits in an Altoids
Tin,(what else), It involves a small computer fan,a piece of carbon fiber
filter from a fish tank filter, a switch, 2, 9v batteries,connectors for

Instructables.com but the article appeared in a video on Youtubes.com just go
to youtubes.com and in search type mini fume extractor. which appeared in Make
Magazine article and is in this video.
