Thanks to all who sent email or posted help here. I ended up using the
station power supply. Late this afternoon I finished all the connections and

Elecraft gear has. My first amplifier in my 60 years of ham radio!
Just got my new KAT/KPA500 on the August Special. I have both units all wired,
tested and ready to go except for the 12 to 15 VDC power connection for the
KAT500. What are you experienced KAT/KPA owners using for this power source?
What amperage is required? Advice would be appreciated,

You "20 meters is dead all day" guys need to check out WSJT-X (JT-9 and JT-65).
At least here in MT 14076 is busy every day all day! You can find many US and
VE stations plus a very good mix of DX. I have only been on this mode since
late in 2014 (been a ham since 1950) and I have worked
Well, let me do a final summary of what I learned from many kind fellow hams
here and via personal eMail. There are two schools of thought on how you
accomplish four solid bars and a fifth blinking (ALC meter).

about moving it! It is the most sensitive control I
That's almost exactly what I ordered some months ago (except I sprang for the
Panadaptor. My only regret is not getting the KD3RV Digital Voice Recorder.
Otherwise, I am very happy with what I bought. For what I paid I have to be
happy, happy, happy!
