[Elecraft] K1 Bandwidth

What is the BW of the signal produced by the K1? I was keying on 3.550 last night and noticed my Kenwood TS-480's S meter responding on 3.560. I thought the BW would be more in line with a 1kHz wide signal. Thanks in advance, Jim C KC2ROF K1 S# 2646
