Guys,
Someone on the fora pointed out that we all have different 49 MHz
oscillators!
I guess that many K3 owners *have bought oscillators delivered without input
for the voltage control* not knowing that a future locking to an external
reference would *not* be possible.
The KTCXO3-1 delivered
g this facility that I can find are the much larger and
more expensive IC-7700 and IC-7800 and the much less functional ADAT (if it
really exists.)

Eric's statement seemed to me to be as near to a definitive "no it isn't" as
you are likely to get.
It's a pity. It was a pretty unique selling point for the K3. The only other
transceivers offering this facility

Hopefully, it's still on the table for development and not permanently
shelved. I can certainly understand the need to prioritize other K3
features and accessories before producing the external 10 MHz Reference
already available on their mw
line (2.3-GHz and up).

Hi Julian
This is disappointing news. I certainly would have not bought the TCXO's for my
K3's if this fact was known.

Do you intend to use the hole for something else?

I am afraid that I think you will find that it's on the back burner,
