Do you have a pre-made cable? Mine snaps securely onto the K3
connector, fits snugly and has never fallen out.
At the time I bought my K3 there was a big discussion here about how
to assemble these plugs, so I decided to just skip all the fun and

i was looking for Anderson power poles on the Ham Radio Fair in
Friedrichshafen, DL.
I found two dealers, both of them sold the Power Poles WITHOUT the pin
that goes between the two housings. They said the poles were shipped
without them and they´d never seen them and i must be
I just bought a rigrunner from HRO and also bought some extra APP
connectors... The APP's that came with the rig runner did not have roll
pins but the HRO branded extras that I bought did have them. So there
are still places where you can get your hands on them.

I just squirt a bit of hotmelt glue in the hole once I've assembled them.

Most connectors fit together quite snugly. If the fit is too loose I found that
a bit of silicone sealant squeezed into the locking pin hole is sufficient to
keep the connectors together.

I use a piece of Q-tip shaft. Very tight fit. If it did come out it won't

have to question again why Elecraft chose these toads-in-a-tuxedo for a
connector. PP are way over-rated. The only strain relief they provide is
when
they come apart - which is often. I suppose we could call that

LEARN, how to terminate cables...Coax, DC or whatever, and just do it.
Do it right.
There are many step by step tutorials and pics, even videos on how to do
it right.
Lots of problems will just go away!
