Allan,
Just as I indicated in my last post, set L30 slug midway and then adjust
the spacing of the red turns on T5 until you get close to 6 volts, and
then adjust L30 to finish up.

I received a replacement variable inductor (L30) from Elecraft, very speedy
delivery. The original was definitely faulty, the replacement now allows me to
alter the voltage at R30 but not getting the required 6 volts, only get to 4.6
volts. Any ideas?
