The voulume on the headphones left is about 50% of the level on the right
side. I have tried several different headphones to eliminate them as the
problem. Is there any way to balance out the level? I am using the rear
phone jack.

You can set CONFIG: SUB AF to BALANCE and the SUB AF knob will balance
between left and right.

Unfortunately this only works in Diversity mode.

Using the Sub for balance works fine for in or out of Diversity mode.

Hmmm... it works here by just tapping the SUB on and setting CONFIG:
SUB to Balanced. Inner knob (Main AF) controls the overall volume level
and outer knob (Sub AF) controls left-right balance.

Sorry, senility attack. CONFIG: SUB BALANCE allows you too use the SUB af gain
control to
act as a balance control between the main and sub receivers, either in
diversity or normal
mode.
What it does *not* do

Swap the 'phones on your head. If still 50% down on the left the problem
is with your hearing, not the radio.

Similarly, try a different set of headphones. It could be the
headphones themselves at fault.
