I believe you have it right. You could also leave the AUX cable connected from the KAT to the KPA so that the KAT can interrupt the KPA’s PTT signal. You need either that or the RCA-plug cable that you described. You might want to connect the K2’s serial port to the KPA’s XCVR serial port, sele
