[Elecraft] K3 Receive Question

Hi to all... The other evening, VK0KEV was on 15 phone, 21.314 to be exact, at about 9 pm local time in Michigan.  I tuned the K3 to his frequency and could tell he was there but not good enough to copy if he came back to my call.  I switched to my FT-1000MP Mark V and not only could I tell he
