Well, I received my K3/100 kit a few weeks ago. I bought it because of its outstanding technical specifications. Granted, the specs were not defined 100% at the time (last May) but the architecture of the rig spoke volumes to me (I am an electrical engineer with RF design experience). I don't believe that I am part of a cult. I just have a very good radio that just gets better almost every day! Who could complain? Not me!
Elecraft is a small company that really cares and it tries to do the very best for their customers. Their people are polite and knowledgeable. I have enjoyed owning a couple of K2s and I have enjoyed building a few for others. Elecraft has brought pleasure to me and I look forward to enjoying more new products from them in the future. The world is becoming a more difficult place to live. Most of us are aware of the increased costs and the tension that brings. We get ripped off now and then and lied to frequently. It's worse for some than others but here we are and the sun will rise in the morning. It's nice to know there is a hollow tree in Aptos where hard-working, well-meaning people are making toys for us to enjoy! There IS a Santa Clause!
