[Elecraft] K3 intermittent low power output

2012-03-12 Thread Tom Boucher
Dave, It's worth removing the front panel assembly, cleaning the connector pins, applying some 'Contralube' (obtainable from Maplins) to the pins and re-assembling. A year ago I had all sorts of problems with my K3, including that which you describe. The above measures completely fixed it.

How old is the K3? You don't have the KPA3 corroded pins problem, maybe? 73, John n1JM -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3-intermittent-low-power-output-tp7362431p7363062.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Maybe John, it is serial 80 from November 2007. Does that problem also reduce the overall output as it is low power when using the LP PA as well. 73 Dave, G4AON How old is the K3? You don't have the KPA3 corroded pins problem, maybe? 73, John n1JM
