I've been listening in the 160 contest to see how the K3 does in some really horrific conditions. Lots of very loud stations with awful key clicks crowded in a small area would crush the front end of most receivers.
I have the 500 hz roofing filter. I can easily get within 200 hz of a very loud and clicky signal and still copy a weak station. There is no pumping of the AGC to cover the little guy. A station 500 hz away simply disappears. On SSB, I have found I can cut the bandwidth down to 1.5 khz or below and by moving the passband 1.30 khz, I can copy the signal. It is pinched but very easy to understand. The K3 is very impressive.
