Here is something I experienced with my new (used) KXPA100 which might help someone in the future.
On initial setup everything was fine. Later on... when turning on the KX3 I was getting a SYS fault light on the KXPA100 LED array. No band noise or signals in the KX3. Uh - oh. Long story short, I had NaP3 running on the computer for the KX3 (had been previously when powered up) and NaP3 uses Port 4... which was also the port that I think the KXPA100 wanted to see on power-on. So with NaP3 program OFF and not active I can start up the KX3 and KXPA100 OK.. and THEN start NaP3. All is fine. I had been used to leaving NaP3 running pretty much all the time when using the K3 and LP-PAN with NaP3... it did not care about the port since only NaP3 was using it. Unless maybe I happened to want to run the K3 utility program.. but that is another story I am now aware might be an issue.. only occasional.
