I'm trying to setup my K3 SSB with my Heil Proset 4 (rear panel connector
selected).
I can set the monitor level and the VOX works fine. However, I can't seem to
get any ALC indication on the display no matter how high I set the mic gain.
I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't figure out
Thinking that the reason was perhaps not being in real transmit mode (despite
what the manual says), I gave it a go, but I don't see any power output in
LSB mode. TUNE gives me the expected output.

After getting pointed to the MIC-SEL menu item (for more than fpl/bpl), I
did change the gain to H, and that gives me some ALC. I also tried the
bias setting, but that didn't seem to make much difference.
I see some RF output when I talk, but not much. This SSB stuff is
