Ive' been using P3 #55 (factory assembled) for a few weeks with no problem.
This morning I turned on the K3 and P3, had a few QSOs and went upstairs for
some coffee. Came back about an hour later and I noticed a very broad signal
up the band. The signal was not only broad (maybe 10kHz wide), but was
undulating up and down and moving back and forth across the scope with some
regularity. Almost every time I attempted to tune the signal (using the P3
marker and the K3) it would move. The one or two times I was able to tune it
in there was no discernible modulation...just the waveform moving up and
down. I switched from 17m and saw the same on 15m with the same behavior. I
then turned off the P3, turned it back on, and the "signal" was gone.
Thoughts? Was my coffee a bit too strong this morning?
