I'm now working on the KIO2 kit for my K2. I've used both the K1EL WinKey and
a microHam micro Keyer with other rigs and like these products very much.
Since my K2 is CW only (and will stay that way), I'm thinking of getting the
microHam CW keyer for use with the K2.

It will work. The KIO2 is the same as the IO in the KPA100.

Been looking at Winkey but being short of serial ports I am leaning
towards the USB MicroHAM CW Keyer. Any comments out there in K2 land
about this unit?

I use a K1EL Winkey on a USB to Serial cable - works fine with Logger32
and WrongLog.

I purchased a microHAM CW Keyer and have had instant success with it connected
to the K2/100 and KAT100.
Although there is a dedicated cable for the K2, there was no K2 in the software
radio pull-down menu. I selected
the Kenwood TS-2000 and changed the baud to 4000. Both VFO's and the mode
