Well what a day yesterday... :\
The radio made it fine and I did a thorough checkout (well as much as I
could do) and all looks good, had a lot of QSO's and great reports...
That's the good news... Bad news? My car ate it's transmission on the
way home last night - I had to decide which rig to
center frequency of your choice and program 4
bw where I suggest af1 to be full bw.
Workes like a charm.
The K2 is actually a very good psk31 radio.

It didnt have the 5 volts hooked up... I popped the jumper plug off
and used 4 old hardrive jumpers and wired it for kenwood..
put her back together and she WORKED!!!way too much fun...and
relatively easy.

The best analysis I can offer is that your mic configuration header may not
be wired correctly. It is best to check it instead of relying on what
someone has said about it.
Since this is your 1st K2, and you did not build it, I assume you are not
familiar with how it all fits together. Y
not even on a Whistle OM :)
next step is..
try and get to the mic jumpers internally and see what mic it is wired
for :) wish me luck

quick question ?
I have everything connected...
I have tried 2 Icom mics (previous owner said it is set up for Icoms and
sent an HM36)
I also tryed a Heil handi mic wired for Icoms...
on a "Tune" it shows
I made the first contact tonight using my new K2. It worked perfectly just as
I had expected. So I now have two K2s and only room for one of them. I going
to offer the new K2 for sale. It is the basic K2 serial number 5439. I have
added the headers and front panel parts for the SSB option, s
Just finished up my new K2 tonight. K2 #5439 is now alive and well.

I completed the second phase of the build theis morning. Finished the
alignment and now I'm now sitting here listening to 40 meters. What a sweet
sound and great RX. I sort of hate to take it down for completion.

It has been a beautiful day here in North Carolina. I didn't go outside very
much though. Been working on my new K2 all day. Got started this morning at
about 8am and have made a day of it. I think it's additive. I just turned the
page to page 51 in the manual and saw that it's time to start
