[Elecraft] Price estimates for K2, K1, KX1

2011-06-08 Thread Rod Greene W7ZRC

Made a mistake on the K2 and K1 list - sorry. It's a K2/10 (shouldn't have said low power) The K1 has the KFL1-4. Rod From: greene5...@hotmail.com To: elecraft@mailman.qth.net Date: Wed, 8 Jun 2011 07:02:05 -0700 Subject: [Elecraft] Price estimates for K2, K1, KX1 All, I am

Hi Rod! Nice to see you here on the Elecraft reflector! Are you wanting to sell the SK's Elecraft gear, or inquiring about the value for yourself? BTW, I have a K2, K3 and P3. The K3 is the best rig I've ever owned. 73! Ken Kopp - K0PP http:/tinyurl.com/7lm3m5

Exactly my thoughts, the #1 reason I built mine myself. I don't remember what all options some have had, but I did see at least one that was with the options I have and it would be a easy $1000.00 kit yet they sold the radio for 6-7 hundred. Might be the economy and a guy needing quick cash?

Judging from what I have seen of the average building and solder quality, I would worry about the reliability of any kit. Some of the worst solder I ever saw was from the old TV repair days. But most solder problems are easy to fix, all the Elecraft parts are new, so they solder nicely. I have
