I heard Roger, K7SJ (NC) on 14.314 right at 1800z at S7 here in Alaska. I waited to call him until he turned his antenna from the east coast to the SW. It still took several calls to get thru all the stronger stations to the south of him. He had to rotate north to fully copy my signal. I

Greg, I assume you mean the 1/8 inch thick double adhesive strip - if so, the answer is yes, that is what holds the backlight in place. Position it properly on the first try because that double sided foam tape is difficult to remove if you do it wrong - follow the instructions precisely. In
