Corrections:
I monitored myself in my good old K2. If I use only the KX3, everything
works as it should. But immediately when and I turn on the PA in the KX3
menu and I try to transmit, I cannot hear anything in my K2, no matter the
power I choose MORE THAN 10W , the KX3 cannot be heard in my
OK, only when the power asked reach 11W to put in use the PA, every time I
hit the PTT, I have a 75W or so reading on my external power meter and
WITHOUT any audio from the microphone.
Below 11W, everything is normal.
I also tried the PA MODE = CAL PWR. same result.
It should means
Ok I did a more intense check.
I only use the KX3, an external battery, a dummy load and the mic.
The result... When I hit the PPT in ssb I get RF feedback... 2 to 3 watts on
the KX3 scale. I also cannot complete TX cal test using Elecraft KX3
software. Hang on 60m when at 4 watts and a few
could help.

effective compared to the crystal filters when used on narrow width like 100

Hi,
Is there a way to modify the K2 that have 2 different parameters for mic
gain when using SSB or digital mode (RTTY ON) !?!!?
I know that we are able to set different parameter for compression if used
in SSB or RTTY mode... but for mic gain it is not possible. It would be
more useful to

The integration was very straight foward. And you do not loose nothing, even
the external DB9 connector... can't use serial protocol on both at the same
time for sure, that's logical but can use the DB9 with the control
I forgot to mention that my K2 have now a MAC address :-)

Hi,
I finally did another project on my K2 #4130. I was tired of using a
serial cable for just basic control of my K2 with Hamradio Deluxe.
I integrated an internal bluetooth interface bound

if you have the time?

by using bluetooth. Less cable is something quite useful.
If you try it with this interface, let us know !!! :-)

OK, thanks I will figure all this macros function for my use. I will read the
programming manual for further examples and applications.
BTW, I'm still think that adding a TX EQ memory setting would be really easy
and great by not sacryfing a PF keys on the KX3.
But at least now, I have an
I found a way to hold and use the hand mic with a pop filter when using my
KX3 at home.
I'm also using an external PPT from Heil that is connected to ACC2.
A small mic stand with a mobile phone holder combine together. and with
my pop filter to prevent poping.
This way, I'm still use the

But, by disabling the KXPA100 ATU and pressing the TUNE button, the SWR read
and displayed on the led bar graph on the KXPA100 is * here * different from
the SWR read and displayed from the KX3 display.
Could someone confirm this ??? :-)

a non sense for me. :-)
Like other great rig on the market, they offer the possibility to set and
retain the mic setting per mode.
