I have a new and unused Elecraft EC2 enclosure complete with the optional
ETS2 tilt stand to match the K2, all as new.
I believe that the EC2 empty enclosure kits are no longer available from
Elecraft.
The kit is unopened with original instruction documentation.

I have been using an Elecraft XV50 transverter converted to 70MHz now for
many years. It was originally used with my K2 and now with my K3. This
combination has won many contests here in the UK. RX sensitivity is good and
strong signal handling seems more than adequate for me. I would not
I recently acquired a used K3 from a silent key with a large number of
options fitted. I already own another K3.
I have stripped it down to be a K3/10 to simplify fault finding. The only
option fitted now is a KXV3 interface. I fitted the bypass link in place of
the KPA3. All tests are done
Thanks for that information. A Parameter Initialization (as described on page

I have now upgraded to 1.16. Now that I have performed the upgrade this problem

Hi All,
My recently purchased P3 (it also has a P3SVGA fitted) has let me down this

I purchased a P3 and P3SVGA recently for use with my K3. It has been working

a 144Mhz version of the KPA500 would be a nice addition for a K3 equipped
I don't wish to re-ignite the RS232 vs USB connectivity debates which have

FTDI.

It is a USB/RS232 converter
Lyle and Don both make excellent points regarding this USB Conversion.
IMHO their posts should be ignored at your peril. I completely agree with
Don's comments regarding the driverless nature of plain RS232.
I myself was not considering this mod myself, as I stated in my original
post. I have
Hi Mike,
I use my K3 and XV144 transverter in my 2m portable contest station.
There is a short video on YouTube at RSGB VHF National Field Day here:-

It makes for a competitive contest setup.
I also use my K3 with a modified XV50 for the 70Mhz band
