there is an End Fed Half Wave Antenna group on Facebook
started up by N4LQ. it certainly promotes the EFHW fed with
a 49:1 transformer. Steve loves the EFHW, but really does not
have much love for 9:1 unun antenna. still, it is an interesting
group to monitor.

great story, those guys must have been so tired by the end of the 24 hours

Very interesting;
still have a digital clock I put together from a kit that I bought at Dayton
probably in the late 70s from OptoElectronics, it just keeps turning
over the digits on my desk every day. probably last longer than I will.

Interesting info Dave. The computer on the 1970s Voyager space probe had a
whopping 68K of memory total! And that was multitasking.

take nostalgia out of it, I would think starting with
a paddle is what I would recommend to anyone just
starting out. I just don't understand the fascination with
straight keys, they are hard to use and tiring if you don't
use them correctly
anyway my .02 cents worth

I am 100% sure that this did not come from the station indicated, in the

properties, the
originating IP address is from Lagos, Nigeria.
also, I never take any email seriously that is sent to undisclosed
recipients, as this
one was. I am
pretty sure you will find Ted at home in
I would say try it with an analyser, see what you get, can't hurt
may help you resolve your problem

just acquired a used KX1 and trying to figure out the wiring of the
stereo key plug both for a straight key and for a paddle. I only have the
PDF version of the manual, where do I find it? or is there a standard
method of doing it?
