Does anyone know the current shipping status of the KAT500 kits? The web
site status report hasn't changed in a few weeks. Sure would make a great
Christmas gift to myself.
worked pretty well too... ;-)

Ed,
The KNB3 NB has to be enabled from the CONFIG menu. Just like you did for
your KAT3 or KPA3 if you have those modules installed.

I only use one port and the single interface (USB to Serial) from N1MM
generates the CW and PTT. You do not need any kind of built or external
keying interface to key the K3. It's very simple and straight-forward.

I just built #570 last week and was concerned with how 'wobbly' the bracket
was with the 5/16 screws not wanting to over-tighten the screws. But
knowing it should not be that wobbly, I gave a little more torque while
pressing down and they all fully tightened down nicely.

Don,
You are right, as usual, that it appears to be from my computer speakers
across the room. Thanks again.

I'm hearing a vibrating humming noise from my K3 when keying CW on 15 meters.
It is only on 15 meters and only with my beam antenna - not heard on the
dipole or vertical.
SWR is 1.6 with K3 tuner bypassed (LP-100A meter) and 1.1 with tuner on and
according to K3 meter. Tried different
Don,
What's odd is that when I cam back into the shack after reading your email
and turning the K3 back on, no hum!!!
I turned the K3 on and off before reporting the issue but the hum was still
there. Now it is gone - for now anyway.
Well, I'll see if it returns.
Thanks.

Hello,
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my K3/100 Kit tomorrow, 8/16/11, and
had a question along this line.
I am wanting to connect a Yaesu MD-100 desk mic to the front, the Heil
Proset headset to the back, a remote foot switch to PTT for both CW and the
Heil Proset, and connect my Yaesu
Hi Don,
I just replied to you via email an answer along with a couple of other
questions.
Yes, I'm getting an adapter for the mic in order to use it on the K3 and
continue using it on my FT-950.
Thanks,
Mitch
